Dear Parents, 

          Wow, I can’t believe this year is almost over! We have had a great year and I can’t say enough about the students at PES. We need your help as we gear up for testing. The state assessments will take place next week. Therefore, its imperative that your child gets plenty of rest, eats a good breakfast, and is here by 7:45 a.m. each day. With your help, our students will be ready for these four days of testing.  

          On Tuesday, May 14th, we will have our final fun event for this year, FIELD DAY. The field day committee has worked extremely hard to pull this event together and the students are excited about this day. The fourth graders will have the opportunity to enjoy the activities in the morning and the third graders will go outside after lunch. We are also excited about visiting with our parents for our first Parent Picnic Lunch!

          As the year comes to a close, we have an academic recognition event planned for our students. During Awards Day, we will recognize our students for academic achievements for the entire year. You are cordially invited to attend our Awards Day Program to help celebrate your child’s success. Parents, thanks for all you do for the students, faculty, and staff at Prattville Elementary School.

          As the fourth graders move on, please continue to give your child the support needed for success. For the upcoming 4th graders, have a safe, relaxing summer and read, read, read! Thank you for affording us the opportunity to lead your child through a successful year. Have a great summer!
